Student Workshop at the Indian Institute of Geology (IIG)
The Indian Institute of Geology (IIG), Colaba, is hosting a half-day visit and workshop on The Journey of Geomagnetism since 1841.
Highlights include:
- Insights from 184 years of data records
- A live demonstration on geomagnetism
- Discussions across physics, chemistry, and geography
This workshop is especially relevant for students of Grades 9–12 with a keen interest in the sciences.
All participants will receive a certificate from IIG. Slots are limited.

What I liked most: I especially enjoyed the live demonstration, which made the concepts easy to grasp.
What more I would like to do: I’d love to explore more hands-on experiments and learn how geomagnetism connects to real-world applications.
